Charleston County Government will follow the latest Executive Order from South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster. On Monday, Governor McMaster announced changes to public beach access and a modification to operating hours for non-essential businesses.
At noon today, the Governor rescinded the order that closed public beach access points, piers, docks and wharfs. Governor McMaster is also allowing some non-essential stores including department stores, flea markets, florists, furniture stores, and other retail stores to reopen under occupancy guidelines to allow social distancing.
Charleston County leaders continue to advise citizens to practice safe social distancing until further notice. Health officials remind citizens to wear masks while in public and adhere to regular hand washing to prevent transmission of the coronavirus.
