This celebration will be held at the cemetery shortly after Sunday services at 2:00pm on February 26, 2017. There’s also a tea happening back at Trinity AME at 4:30PM if you’re interested!
We set aside a special time on “Flower Day” to publicly acknowledge our gratitude for ancestors from our communities. We pause to thank those who paved the road for us through great sacrifice. Flowers will be provided and persons attending will be asked to help in identifying or verifying the final resting places or approximate locations by placing a flower where family, friends and loved ones are buried.
Did you assist in placing “wooden cross grave markers” during visits following the civil court ruling concerning the cemetery? If you did, we thank you again. Time has challenged some of those markers and we need your help to ensure the original placements remain accurate or are replaced. Whenever there’s a funeral, people ask questions that cannot be answered without your input! Please encourage a representative from your family to attend to help with this very important aspect of the gathering.
